Visibility
- What I measure
- Brand and tour mentions, cited sources and factual accuracy across agreed AI questions; relevant organic search performance
- What it helps us decide
- Which traveller needs and tours need better coverage
Help travellers find your tours and book directly.
I help tour operators improve how their business and experiences are discovered through Google and AI search, with direct bookings and qualified enquiries as the goal.
Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) for tour operators makes your itineraries, destinations and traveller requirements easier to understand and compare. The work connects what makes your tours suitable with the information people need to choose you.
01 / Operator expertise
Your guides know which departure avoids the busiest period, how demanding a route feels and whether an itinerary works for a family with young children. That knowledge belongs on your website.
A description such as “an unforgettable local experience” leaves the important questions unanswered. Walking distance, group size, guide language, pickup arrangements and time at each stop give travellers something concrete to judge.
My work turns that operational knowledge into information people can use when comparing tours—and that search and AI systems can access when finding supporting sources.
“You know your tours better than a marketplace listing can explain. You know which route suits a family, which departure avoids the crowds and what makes your guides worth choosing. GEO starts with making that knowledge visible when travellers ask AI what to book.”
02 / Traveller requirements
The opportunity starts with showing which experience meets a traveller’s specific requirements.
Consider this illustrative question:
“Which private day trip from Da Nang works for a family with two young children, includes hotel pickup and gets us back before dinner?”
A useful answer needs more than a destination name.
| Traveller requirement | Information your website needs | Where it belongs |
|---|---|---|
| Travelling with young children | Minimum age, walking distance, breaks and relevant transport arrangements | Tour suitability section |
| A private experience | Exclusive group arrangements, capacity and what can be customised | Tour page and private-tour collection |
| Pickup from Da Nang | Pickup areas, exclusions, meeting arrangements and additional charges | Departure and pickup section |
| Returning before dinner | Total duration, expected return window and factors affecting timing | Itinerary |
| Choosing a date | Current availability, total price and booking conditions | Connected booking system |
I map these requirements to your existing tours, improve the pages that answer them and identify where a separate destination or experience page serves a distinct decision.
For multi-day journeys, the same approach covers daily travel time, accommodation categories, included meals, activity levels and customisation.
03 / Direct demand
GEO gives your business another opportunity to enter the traveller’s shortlist and bring the booking conversation onto your own website.
My focus is to help you:
Marketplaces charge for the distribution they provide. For example, GetYourGuide applies commission to fulfilled bookings, with the applicable rate shared with the supplier. Direct sales have their own marketing, payment and booking-system costs, so the objective is a healthier channel mix and stronger returns. GetYourGuide supplier information
An AI mention alone does not establish a direct-booking opportunity. I check whether the answer identifies your business, recommends your tour and links to your website—or sends the traveller to a reseller.
04 / Service scope
I use my GEO Operating System to connect traveller research, verified tour information, website improvements, external presence and measurement in one delivery plan.
Identify the audiences, destinations and experiences that matter commercially. Map search terms and representative AI questions to tours you actually operate, considering seasonality, capacity and business priorities.
Establish who operates each experience, where it departs, what it includes and whom it suits. Check important facts across your website, marketplace listings and relevant external profiles.
For resold experiences, clarify the relationship between your business and the operating supplier.
Improve the pages travellers use to choose: destination pages, tour collections, individual itineraries and private or custom-tour services.
Connect useful destination content to relevant bookable experiences. Put suitability, inclusions, exclusions and booking information where they support the decision.
Review whether important pages can be discovered, crawled and indexed. Identify inaccessible itinerary content, duplicate tour URLs, broken internal links and booking routes that send visitors to the wrong product.
Structured data should reflect the visible facts. Google confirms that its AI search features build on SEO foundations and require no special AI schema. Google Search Central
Review the sources appearing in sampled AI answers and the information they publish about your business. Identify factual corrections and relevant opportunities for tourism-board listings, partner references and editorial coverage.
Guide biographies, documented expertise and specific customer feedback help explain the experience behind the listing.
Check how your website records tour interest, booking steps, enquiries and purchases. Use the findings to determine whether the next priority is visibility, page content, the booking process or enquiry follow-up.
05 / Booking paths
Your conversion path should match how the tour is sold.
For scheduled departures, travellers need a clear route from the itinerary to the correct date, participant selection and checkout.
For private and tailor-made tours, they need to understand what can be customised and submit enough information for a useful response: travel dates, party size, interests and relevant requirements.
I assess both paths, including booking systems hosted on another domain. Where access permits, tracking follows the journey into checkout and records completed purchases.
For enquiry-led tours, reporting distinguishes form submissions from qualified enquiries, quotes and confirmed bookings.
06 / Accurate information
Tour information needs an owner and an update process.
I establish where operational facts are maintained and which website pages, marketplace listings and partner descriptions need updating when those facts change.
Priorities include:
Current availability and payable prices remain connected to the booking system. Published itinerary information should explain the experience without presenting an old departure or price as current.
07 / Measuring GEO
Reporting connects three questions: Are travellers finding you? Are they considering your tours? Are they booking or enquiring?
AI monitoring is a sample, with the questions, platforms, markets and dates retained so changes can be interpreted.
A booking-button click is an intermediate action. Completed bookings require purchase tracking or confirmation in your reservation records. Analytics reports recorded attribution; it cannot identify every journey influenced by AI.
08 / Hospitality experience
My experience includes seven years in SEO and work spanning 80+ accommodation properties, including properties within IHG, Accor and Wyndham. I apply that hospitality search experience to the practical questions behind discovery, suitability and direct sales.
In an Australian holiday-rental engagement, GA4 recorded A$16,861.07 in website purchase revenue attributed to ChatGPT across five purchases, from 1 April to 25 August 2026.
This is accommodation evidence, rather than a tour-operator result. The small sample was not reconciled against cancellations, refunds or completed stays, and does not isolate the effect of GEO. It demonstrates the type of booking-level measurement I work towards.
09 / Scope & pricing
Both options begin with your tour catalogue, priority markets, booking model and implementation resources.
Starting feeUS$3,000One-time payment · Excluding taxes
Starting feeUS$2,500Per month · Excluding taxes
Prices exclude applicable taxes. The proposal defines websites, destinations, tour scope, markets, languages and implementation responsibilities. Specialist integrations and major website development are assessed separately.
10 / Useful answers
SEO and GEO share technical foundations, useful content and accurate business information. I plan them together. GEO adds checks of how AI answers describe your business, which tours they recommend, which sources they cite and what identifiable AI visitors do next.
Yes. I assess the website and booking journey, then define the changes and tracking requirements with your provider or developer. The available integrations and measurement depend on the platform and access provided.
No. I improve existing pages first. A new page needs a distinct traveller decision and enough useful information to answer it. Closely related questions can often be covered within one tour page or a relevant collection.
Yes. The programme supports your direct channel alongside your existing distribution. Marketplace information is also relevant to the review because travellers may encounter your tours there. The priorities reflect your channel mix and commercial goals.
No. Recommendations vary by question, platform and context. I establish a baseline, improve the information supporting your tours and monitor agreed questions to assess progress.
We establish priorities, access, tour facts and measurement. The initial work addresses the most important information gaps, technical issues, tour pages and external inconsistencies. Reviews determine what to continue or change in the next delivery cycle.
11 / The next move
Share your website, destinations, approximate number of tours and booking platform. Tell me whether your priority is scheduled departures, private tours or tailor-made enquiries.
We can then define where search and AI visibility can support your direct-booking goals.
